Participate

The Society is managed by a group of volunteer Trustees but there are many ways that members can actually participate in the Society’s activities. These range from attending our regular meetings at the Church Hall, to helping with our newsletter or the stands we run at certain events, to joining in with our current research or providing some expertise or enthusiasm for a subject that you enjoy or may have an interest in (for example Planning Matters).

 

Successful societies make good use of available resources amongst their membership. So please don’t be shy about saying that you “wouldn’t mind lending a hand at…” We know (only too well) that modern life makes big demands on people’s time. But there is a good deal of satisfaction in “giving something back” to one’s own community.
